A Little About Myself
I’m married to Steve, my high school sweetheart. We have three adult children and five precious grandchildren. Steve and I live in Pella, a small town of 10,000 people in the heart of Iowa. Pella is best known for its annual Tulip Festival, its windows (Pella® Windows and Doors), and its award-winning bakeries and meat markets. Pella is a wonderful place to live!
I work part-time as a bookkeeper in the business my father began years ago, sharing the job with my sister-in-law. I am also active in my church. I love being part of my church’s prayer ministry, as well as teaching adult discipleship classes. Steve and I are also certified teachers for two courses offered through the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI): Family-to-Family and Basics. My favorite way to relax is to curl up in my recliner with a good book and a hot cup of tea. I absolutely love to read and usually have several books going at once!
